Connection and rules of dormitory network
The Dormitory Network is a computer network built on the CZU campus in Prague for student education purpose. Through a university-wide network, it is connected via the Internet to the national network for science, research and education (CESNET).
Connection to the dormitory network
The connection to the newtork is realized by a wired connection to the host network by wired plugs in dormitory rooms. Authentication servers verifies the user's identity. Authentication mechanism 802.1X protocol provides high level of security of authentication process. Before join to the dormitory network, you must read the CZU dormitory rules HERE.
CONNECTION INSTRUCTIONS
It is necessary to physically connect to one of the data options in the room. A network cable terminated with an RJ-45 connector on both sides is needed for this purpose. The tool eduroam CAT tool is prepared for set up authentication on connected device or the network interfaces could be set manually with manuals found in the eduroam manuals.
