Organization Structure
Study and Information Centre (SIC) is responsible for information support of pedagogical and research activities of university staff and students. By wide range of information services helps them to fulfill their study tasks.
SIC consists of three main parts:
Library department
- provides users with learning and scientific literature
- makes Czech and foreign scientific journals available
- runs study rooms and reading room
- provides access to the internet and copy services
Department of scientific information and development
- provides access to the scientific databases and electronic journals
- processes information retrievals for academic staff, doctoral students and master students
- provides education of users and tuitions in the field of information literacy
- provides running of computer technology at SIC and its upgrading
- participates at grant solving and implementing new services and technologies
Department of promotion and other services
- records video for the purpose of teaching
- makes the cuttings and dubbing of programmes recorded from television and satellite broadcast
- provides photo services and graphic works for all university departments
- partakes in publishing of advertising materials and ensures presentation of the university at exhibitions
- takes pictures of employees in order to create the ITIC and employees ID cards
